ALLENDALE, Mich -- The Grand Valley State football team held it's annual spring classic Saturday at Lubber's Stadium.
GVSU does not play a game like many schools, they hold a practice that finishes with a scrimmage.
Lakers head coach Matt Mitchell relinquished defensive play calling duties this season after the team finished 6-5 in 2014.
GVSU graduated it's top 2 quarterbacks in Heath Parling and Isiah Grimes, this season sophomore Bart Williams takes over the reigns and had a nice Saturday throwing the football.
Grand Valley will begin the season Thursday September 3rd at home against Southwest Baptist.
