Chicken Coop changes weekend hours following deadly shooting

GRAND RAPIDS , Mich. — The Chickenn Coop restaurant on S. Division AVenue in Grand Rapids where a man was killed over the weekend soon will change its hours.

The Grand Rapids Police Department said Wednesday evening that the Chicken Coop will close at midnight starting on Saturday.

On March 22, Terence Hollis, 32, was shot to death in the Chicken Coop parking lot after a fight broke out inside the restaurant, police said.

GRPD is working to crack down on violence in that area by setting up a mobile command unit nearby on Friday and Saturday nights.
