GRIFFIN, Ga. — Body camera video is providing a first-person look at a police officer rescuing a 3-year-old boy in Georgia.

Griffin Police Sgt. Joe Hudson, a 14-year veteran, captured the rescue on his body cam.

“I got frantic at one point because I could not find him,” he said.

After frantically searching the home, he eventually finds 3-year-old Ray Ray.

The boy’s grandmother gave him a hug and kiss on the cheek after he rescued Ray Ray.

“She did give me a hug and kiss on the cheek. That made me feel good, that makes it all worth it doing this job when you have something like this happen. There is so much negativity out here it felt good that day; I felt good when I went home.”
