DETROIT, Mich. — Anyone who’s ever owned a Tonka truck knows the joys to be had from transporting sand, loading toys, and generally enjoying childhood, will appreciate Ford and Tonka’s creation: a full-size, F750 dump truck modeled to look like a Tonka truck.
This toy-truck-come-to-life is a one-time, promotional item and will not be released to the masses. The Tonka Dump Truck prototype will be unveiled at a show in Indianapolis on Wednesday, and will tour the country after that.
