Woman arrested for harboring a fugitive

KEELER TOWNSHIP,  Mich. — A woman was arrested in Van Buren County for harboring a fugitive and obstructing police.

The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department said Kayla Eilene Sartin, 33, of Sister Lakes was arrested on a warrant after lying to police about Jason Lee Pasely’s whereabouts back in January.  She denied he was inside her home at the time, but he came out a short time later and was taken into police custody.

The woman was arrested  in the afternoon February 27 in the 93,000 block of County Line Road 690 in the Sister Lakes area. She’s also facing her second offense of driving while her license is suspended.

Pasely, 32, of Sister Lakes was arrested  January 31 on two outstanding  warrants , a felony for residential burglary and a felony possession of marijuana.
