The Drive make a pair of trades

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich — The Grand Rapids Drive made two moves on Thursday, sending forward Wille Reed to the Iowa Energy in exchange for guard Diante Garrett, they also traded guard Brandon Fields to the Idaho Stampede receiving Kevin Murphy in return.

Reed, who was an all-star this year, averaged 14.6 points and 12 rebounds in 31 games with the Drive.

Fields averaged 13.8 points and just over 4 assists in 33 games this season.

Garrett, 6’5 181 lbs., averaged 14.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.5 steals per game with the Energy.

Murphy, 6’5 185 lbs., averaged 22.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4 assists with the Stampede.

The Drive will host the Delaware 87ers Friday night at 7 p.m. at the Delta Plex.
