WEST MICHIGAN — Snow showers continued today along the lakeshore with plenty of sunshine inland. Temperatures stayed mainly in the teens with wind chills most of the day below zero.
But the coldest air doesn’t even arrive till Saturday and Sunday as a strong high pressure center from Canada drops south into West Michigan. This strong high will create nearly ideal conditions for one of the coldest nights of the year, as clear skies, arctic air, and calm winds will allow temperatures to easily drop below zero Saturday night and Sunday morning.
And the cold air continues to funnel into the Great Lakes as multiple rounds of cold arctic air rotate through the region through the first half of next week.
