TULSA, Okla. — Sierra, a Lab puppy from Oklahoma, recently ate her owner’s engagement ring and wedding band worth about $23,000, according to FOX 23,
“I saw my dogs near the coffee table and remembered I’d left my wedding rings sitting on the table last night,” said Stephanie Lamb.
The good news: Sierra had a successful emergency surgery to recover the rings from her stomach.
Dr. Rodney Robards, who performed the surgery, said waiting for the rings to come out naturally could have damaged Sierra’s intestines. One of the rings was slightly damaged, FOX 23 reports.
“I knew it was Sierra because she’s just a little bit of a troublemaker,” Lamb told FOX 23.
