GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Police are investigating an incident early Sunday morning in which a vehicle full of people was shot up by an unidentified gunman.
Grand Rapids police responded to the scene near the intersection of Hall Street & Cooper Avenue SE after receiving a phone call from one of the occupants of the targeted vehicle. Upon arrival, they found the vehicle with five bullet holes in it and the occupants gone.
Police said that the initial call came from a Rockford phone number. When speaking to the caller later, police found that the occupants had somehow made their way to Rockford before placing the phone call regarding the shooting.
No one was injured.
Police have no leads in terms of a suspect or motive at this time. The incident remains under investigation.
