DETROIT, Mich -- Orchard Lake St. Mary scored the only touchdown of the game just over halfway through the 1st quarter and beat Muskegon, 7-0, in the division 3 state championship game Saturday night.
Muskegon actually out gained the Eaglets, 168 to 164 in total yards.
The Big Reds best chance to score was in the 2nd quarter, but they were stopped on 4th and goal at the 3.
Muskegon turned the ball over 3 times compared to just once by Orchard Lake St. Mary.
This was the third consecutive year Muskegon lost in the state championship game.
