GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- They are lean, muscular and athletic, and many greyhounds have spent time in a racing environment. But when their time on the track is over, an uncertain fate often awaits the animals.

Over the years the rescue group has placed more than 700 animals in new homes and turned countless families on to a well-kept secret: while they look like they are built for speed, greyhounds are often just giant couch potatoes that love to snuggle on the couch!
