STURGIS, Mich. — A Sturgis police officer has been suspended for two weeks following a drunk driving investigation.
The officer, whose identity has not been released, was involved in a single-car crash Oct. 26 in Kalamazoo County, according to a release.
A blood test was taken while the officer was in the hospital, and they then informed Sturgis administration that they were under investigation for driving while intoxicated.
They must also undergo counseling as part of the suspension agreement, officials said.
No other details on the incident were released.
