GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Amtrak plans to use every rail car in its fleet to handle increased passenger traffic over the Thanksgiving weekend, including extra trains between West Michigan and Chicago.
The rail service says the heaviest travel days that holiday week are the Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving and the Sunday after Thanksgiving.
The regularly scheduled runs depart at their regularly scheduled times.
In addition, departures from Holland, Mich., are scheduled for Wednesday, November 26, and Sunday, November 30, at 3:10 p.m. for arrival in Chicago at 5:22 p.m.
Additional departures from Chicago are scheduled for Wednesday, November 26, and Sunday, November 30, at 10 a.m. for arrival at Holland, Mich., at 2:08 p.m.
