GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.– Halloween is here! Are you looking for some fun stuff do to in town? We have a fun list for you to check out for a scary good time.
As always, safety should be considered with all of the fun events happening tonight in West Michigan. Grand Rapids Police Department wishes to remind parents of some important safety tips for their kids this Halloween:
-Don’t let kids go alone. Always have a guardian. Avoid going into any stranger’s car or home.
-Wear light colored or reflective clothing that is flame retardant, and carry a flashlight.
-Avoid billowy costumes and masks that block your eye sight.
-Props like wands and swords should be made from cardboard.
-Obey all traffic safety rules, and walk on the side walk. Drivers should pay extra attention while driving.
-Don’t let kids eat candy until you examine it. Only trick-or-treat at houses with porch lights on.
