KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A man who claims to be the victim of an attempted robbery, told police that teenage suspects pistol-whipped him before he was able to stab one of the teenagers.
The incident happened on Tuesday at around 7:45 p.m. on Lay Boulevard in Kalamazoo. The victim, a 26-year-old man, told officers that several suspects attacked him and attempted to rob him. He reported that he stabbed one of them.
A short time later, a 15-year-old male suspect arrived at the hospital with stab wounds that are said to be life-threatening. Police would later arrest two more juvenile male suspects: a 13-year-old and 15-year-old.
The victim was treated and released from the hospital. The incident remains under investigation.
