ANTWERP TOWNSHIP, Mich.– One man is in custody after driving his car into someone’s yard Saturday night.
According to Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department, it all happened near 60th Avenue and Whitewood Drive at around 7:45 pm. Witnesses say the 25-year-old driver ran his car off of the road and was stuck in someone’s yard near the intersection. The suspect tried to get his vehicle unstuck, but instead tore up the yard.
Upon investigation, deputies found that the suspect driver had hit and run over a stop sign, and was under the influence of several drugs. Deputies say that the driver was on State Probation as well. He was taken to jail.
