15-year-old girl critically injured after being hit by car

CROCKERY TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A teenage girl suffered critical injuries, after police say she was struck by a car while she was walking down the road with some friends.

The accident happened shortly after 8:00 p.m. on Monday, on State Road near 136th in Ottawa County’s Crockery Township.  Cameron Smallegan, 15, was walking along the road when she was struck by a vehicle.

Smallegan, who’s from Muskegon, was taken to the hospital where she was last listed in critical condition.
