KALAMAZOO, Mich.- A fire ripped through a second story apartment Sunday morning in Kalamazoo.
According to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety, the fire started around 9 a.m. in a second story apartment at the Interfaith Homes in Kalamazoo.
The family living in the apartment was able to make it out safely.
Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire and the fire was contained to the one apartment.
The Red Cross was called in to assist the family.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
