We need to spend more time on the Internet.
If we don’t, we won’t be able to keep up.
On every page, there are more and more links to other stuff. And it usually looks really interesting. At least, some of it does.
The other day, I was on Twitter. I follow @MentalFloss, the magazine, and a post said, “Weirdest News Stories of the Week.” Since rarely do I find anything on the Internet that’s weird, I clicked through.
One story was “Cat Survives 17-Story Fall.” I read that. Thank goodness Cleo is okay. And I read “24-Year-Old Woman Found To Have No Cerebellum.” Yeah, that’s weird. And then “Man Hoped To Avoid Arrest By Touching Home Base.” Not so weird, but the guy was stupid.
On this page, I spotted a link to “Seven Reasons You’re Procrastinating (And How To Snap Out Of It)” I clicked through, but I decided to put off clicking any more.
Any more of this, and I won’t have time to read the rest of the Twitterati I follow. Let along Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Vine, Tumblr, well, you get the picture.
There’s too much Internet. We need to lengthen the day so we can keep up.
