MUSKEGON, Mich. — Jerry Bowersox is the president of the Michigan Highlanders; a group that meets and recreates games played in Scotland and Ireland many years ago.
The Irish Music Festival in Muskegon is held September 12th, 13th, and 14th the Highland Games will be held Saturday the 13th. The games consist of a hammer throw and a log toss. I learned both these events yesterday. After learning what goes into the games I must say this will be a competition to not be missed.
