MUSKEGON, Mich.- Brian Jones, the man who walked away from a Muskegon County work crew has turned himself in to authorities.
The Muskegon County Sheriff’s Department tells FOX 17 that Jones turned himself in shortly after 6 a.m. Sunday morning. The Sheriff’s office believes that Jones had seen himself in the media and turned himself in with the encouragement of family and friends.
Jones walked away from work crew at the MATS bus terminal on Saturday.
The details of what lead up to Jones walking away from his work detail are still unknown at this time.
Jones was serving time for 2nd degree retail fraud and was schedule to be released from jail in April of 2015.
