GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The first annual Mini Maker Faire kicked off this past weekend at the Grand Rapids Public Museum. They’re calling it the greatest “show and tell” on earth. The Mini Maker Faire brings together do it yourself innovations and technology for a weekend of fun.
They have everything from simple inventions, to big science explosions. I met two boys with projects that were replicas of well known roller coasters. They made these completely out of kinects and spending 7 months to complete each project.
From there I went upstairs to visit the rest of the booths where The Geek Group in Grand Rapids was setting up. They boasted “mini” explosions they performed right there in the museum.
