DETROIT, Mich. — The manager of an industrial building in Detroit made a gruesome discovery on Monday:  the charred and gutted remains of a baby goat.

According to FOX 2 News in Detroit, the dead animal was found near the Russell Industrial building on Clay Street near the Chrysler service drive in the city’s east side.

There is a rope around the goat’s neck, as well as two chalk circles that were drawn around the body.  Those details, combined with the fact that the goat appears to have been gutted and set on fire, have employees wondering if this was a sacrifice in some satanic ritual.

A bottle of lighter fluid was found next to the remains.

A security worker at the building called Detroit Police, who directed him to call the Michigan Humane Society, who then directed him to Animal Control.

Workers showed up, but told the building manager that they only deal with live animals, and left the scene.
