GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The name says it all, and whether the weather is sunny, rainy or snowy, Wind Waves & Wheels can outfit you for fun and adventure.

Their journey started in Rockford in 1984, it was a skate shop then, catering to the would-be Tony Hawks of West Michigan and featuring a 12-foot half pipe. After a few years it became clear that the plan – and location – needed to be tweaked to survive, and W3 moved to 29th street in Grand Rapids and began outfitting snowboarders, paddle boarders and wake boarders. The rest, as they say, is history.

W3 also stocks clothing and footwear for the person who likes to look like the part, yet doesn’t want to risk the injuries that sometimes come with this type of activity!
