GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Two past ArtPrize winners will be displayed during the 2014 competition, organizers announced Wednesday.
Sleeping Bear Dune Lakeshore by Ann Loveless and Elephants by Adonna Khare, the 2013 and 2012 Public Vote Grand Prize winners will be available for viewing at the ArtPrize HUB.
Loveless’ work was a landscape quilt that was 20 feet long and depicted Lake Michigan and Sleeping Bear Dunes at sunset.
Khare’s 35-foot wide piece was a pencil drawing of elephants, chimps, and other wildlife. The artist continued to draw on the piece during ArtPrize 2012 while the public watched.
This year, ArtPrize will run for its sixth year September 24 to October 12.
