OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. -- Investigators said it appears the body found in the Grand River by a kayaker over the weekend is a case of accidental drowning.
They were able to determine the cause of death during an autopsy Monday morning. Now investigators are trying to identify the body.
The discovery was made around 5:20 p.m. Sunday in a wooded area in Ottawa County's Georgetown Township, a short distance from the Riverview Airport.
Investigators on the scene said a pair of kayakers called to report they had found what they thought to be human remains. A dive team responded, and located the body of a male.
