GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A crash involving three vehicles caused traffic to back up on US-131 from I-196 back to 10 Mile in Rockford.
The crash couldn’t have been in a worse location: the left lane entering the construction lane closure north of the S-Curve.
The crash took place just after 7:30 a.m., and the miles-long backup didn’t take long to develop, given it occurred at the height of the morning commute.
Drivers on eastbound I-96 also found themselves in a jam around Alpine Avenue, since the right two lanes feed directly into southbound US-131.
There was no indication there were any injuries.
