GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (July 6, 2014)– Grand Rapids Police are investigating a robbery gone wrong Sunday morning.
According to police, the suspect that is now in custody, attempted to rob the victim. It happened south of Leonard at Widdicomb and 11th St. early Sunday morning.
The suspect told police that he thought he was just punching the victim in the stomach during the whole ordeal. But it turned out the victim had been stabbed in the stomach instead.
Police say that the injuries are non-life threatening, and the incident is still under investigation.
