NEWAYGO COUNTY, Mich (June 27, 2014) — The two brothers arrested in connection to the 1989 murder of Shannon Siders were in court today, and one of them didn’t seem too happy about it.

Matthew Jones flipped off cold case team cameras as he walked out of the courtroom today.

Shannon Siders’ father, Bob was present in court and witnessed Jones’ gesture. “He waved to the cold case team. But he only used one finger. That’s the type of person he is I guess. When I wave, I use my whole hand.”

The brothers waived the 14-day preliminary exam rule, their preliminary exam was adjourned until September 17, as defense attorneys need more time to look over evidence.
