WEST MICHIGAN — (June 20, 2014) The active weather week in West Michigan helped bring some much-needed moisture to the area.
Strong storms over the week had soaking rains that caused some areas of flash flooding. The over three inches of rain this week helped catapult the city of Grand Rapids above average for rainfall for the month of June. This is the first time since February that the city of Grand Rapids has had above average precipitation.
Light rain chances continue as we head into the weekend. Most of the rain should end by Friday evening but spotty chances for rain showers will continue Saturday and Sunday.
