KALAMAZOO, Mich. (June 9, 2014) — Crews had to evacuate a home that was on fire early Monday morning, due to safety concerns within the structure.

Flames were reported at a house located at 1315 Blakeslee in Kalamazoo shortly before 3:00 a.m.  We’re told the homeowner managed to make it out safely.  Firefighters were attempting to go down into the basement, when the order came down to get everyone out.  The structural integrity of the home was compromised due to the fire.

No injuries were reported.  The fire marshal is looking into a possible cause.
