Monday Forecast: Stormy, Breezy, Humid

Posted

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (June 2, 2014) — Scattered thunderstorms will have the potential to drop some heavy, but needed, rain around West Michigan during the day Monday.

A few scattered showers and storms developed in spots early Monday morning as temperatures remained in the low 70s around the area.  A little sunshine will still squeeze through during the day, pushing temperatures to around 80° in the afternoon.

The best opportunity for storms with heavy rain, frequent lightning, and maybe some hail will be for areas east and south of Grand Rapids in the afternoon.  You can see those areas on Future Track HD:

Future Track HD forecast for Monday, 6/2/14

Most of the rain will clear out tonight with a cold front, and we’ll have some less humid air arriving Tuesday.
