Warm, Humid, Stormy Tuesday Forecast

Posted

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (May 27, 2014) — Tuesday will be the most active day of weather expected through this week, with scattered showers and thunderstorms producing heavy rain in spots off and on.

Warm and humid air will hang around throughout the day, providing plenty of fuel for heavy rain in the strongest showers.  This will be exacerbated by the slow-moving nature of the rain.  However, widespread severe storms are not expected at any point.

A cold front will move through West Michigan from north to south tonight into Wednesday, which will gradually put an end to the wet weather.  A few showers are possible still across the southern portion of the FOX 17 viewing area into the day Wednesday.

Dry, sunny, comfortably warm conditions are expected for the second half of the week.  You can check out the full 7 Day Forecast on the Weather page.
