CHICAGO – (May 13, 2014) – Reports of smoke at an FAA radar facility in Illinois have prompted ground stops at Chicago’s O’Hare and Midway Airports.
Workers at the Elgin Center and all evacuate and all operations have been transferred to the Chicago Enroute Center in Aurora, Ill.
All inbound and outbound flights are halted.
Some Chicago-bound flights have been cancelled or delayed to and from Grand Rapids’ Ford International Airport. The Kalamazoo-Battle Creek International Airport is also being impacted.
