Recall Roundup: Children’s Pajamas and Stainless Steel Tool Chest

BETHESDA, Md. (April 11, 2014) — The Consumer Product Safety Commission has recalled a number of products this week, including particular brands of children’s pajamas, as well as a certain type of stainless steel tool chest.

According to the CPSC, the tool chest being recalled poses a laceration hazard.  The pajamas that are being recalled fail to meet federal flammability standards.

Whalen Stainless Steel Tool Chest

Whalen Stainless Steel Tool Chests – The inside of the right door has a metal stopper or flange with a sharp edge running the length of the door, which poses a laceration hazard.  About 20,000 units are impacted.  They are sold exclusively at Costco.  Whalen has received 11 reports of injuries.  Repair kits are available.  Click here for more information on this recall.

BedHead Children’s Two Piece Pajama Sets – The pajamas fail to meet federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children.  About 800 units are involved in this recall.  No injuries have been reported.  Refunds are available.  Click here for additional information on this recall.
