NEWAYGO, Mich. (March 31, 2014) — Dozens of rescue dogs and puppies from Montcalm County will be up for adoption at a West Michigan rescue.
The 93 animals are currently being cared for by the volunteers at Lake Haven Rescue on Pickerel Lake Road in Newaygo.
Lake Haven Director Cheryl McCloud said that the dogs were rescued last week from a breeder in Montcalm County.
The rescue group is currently attempting to get the dogs proper veterinary care, she said.
Not all of the dogs are currently available for adoption, and the adoption process will take about two weeks, because Lake Haven is so overwhelmed trying to care for them right now, McCloud said.
Anyone wishing to adopt must do so through Lake Haven’s website.
