WEST MICHIGAN — (Mar. 29, 2014) After a few snow flurries this morning around West Michigan, the snow will move out and warmer temperatures will move in. Skies will start out mostly cloudy Saturday before gradually clearing throughout the afternoon allowing for some sunshine. Sunshine will help warm temperatures up throughout the afternoon as temperatures rise into the upper 30’s and low 40’s.
Mostly clear skies and calm winds will allow temperatures to drop overnight into the low to mid 20’s but despite the cool night and early morning, sunshine will help warm temperatures Sunday afternoon above average. Average March temperatures have been more than 10 degree below average so it is a welcome relief to many in West Michigan as temperatures warm above average for once. Afternoon highs will warm into the low to mid 50’s Sunday afternoon with mostly sunny skies and temperatures will continue to warm as we head into the next work week with some areas even getting up to 60 degrees!
The above average temperatures will not last long though as a cold front will drop temperatures back into the 40’s by Tuesday.
