KALAMAZOO, Mich. (March 21, 2014) — A vigil will be held Thursday, March 27 to celebrate the life of Western Michigan University freshman Alyssa Olafson.
Olafson, 19, was found unresponsive Thursday morning in her dorm room. Investigators say her death may be linked to a pre-existing condition but the coroner’s office is still awaiting test results to make a final determination.
The event will be hosted by Cru, a student ministry at the university. It is scheduled for 8 p.m. in 1920 Sangren Hll, according to Cru members.
