Chilly Sunshine to Start the Week

Posted

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (March 16, 2014) — It’s hard to believe that despite abundant sunshine, temperatures Sunday won’t climb out of the mid 20s in most parts of West Michigan.  Even harder to believe is that only two years ago, we spent mid-March in a stretch of record warmth that kept highs in the 70s to around 80° for several days.

Readings Sunday morning were down into the single digits around West Michigan, with wind chills below zero.  Monday morning will feature similar conditions as clear skies hold around the region.

A gradual warming trend will take hold into Tuesday night, when temperatures will climb back into the mid 40s before dropping again with rain changing to snow Wednesday.
