WALKER, Mich. (March 14, 2014) — Police in Walker were called to Plumb’s Valu-Rite Foods grocery store on 4 Mile Road and Alpine Avenue after it was broken into.
According to police, store employees arrived around 5 a.m. to open the store and found a trail of money on the floor. When police got to the scene, they found a back door open with more money on the ground behind the building.
Police say they believe the employees may have interrupted the break in when they arrived.
Canine units searched the area around the store and were called off around 6 a.m. and at last check, police were still combing the area.
