Comerica Park Getting A Four Million Dollar Makeover

DETROIT, Mich. (Feb. 15th, 2014)- Comerica Park is getting a new addition this winter.

According to the Detroit Tigers, Comerica Park will undergo a $4 million, makeover of the right-field Pepsi Porch before opening day. The makeover will add 426 additional seats, a new bar called the New Amsterdam 416 bar and other amenities.

It will boost Comerica Park’s capacity from 41,255 to 41,681.

Some of those new seats will be offered as part of a four-seat table configuration according to the Tigers. Also with this makeover, there will be 325 new bleacher-style seats added atop The Jungle bar.

Any ticket-holder at Comerica Park, including standing-room customers, will be free to enter the 10,000-square foot tract.

Ticket prices for the new 180 seats will range from $30 to $57 per game, depending on the date, time and who the Tigers are playing as a part of the new dynamic pricing policy the Detroit Tigers will use in the 2014 season. The new Labatt Blue Jungle seats, the least expensive ticket at Comerica Park, will be set within a range of $9 to $17.

The Detroit Tigers will open the 2014 season March 31st against the Kansas City Royals at Comerica Park.
