LAWRENCE, Mich. (Feb. 14, 2014) — Three semis jackknifed on eastbound I-94 early Friday, and the highway’s eastbound lanes were closed.
Van Buren County was hit by some freezing drizzle in the overnight hours, and a series of accidents were reported along I-94, including a semi mishap on westbound I-94 at mile 48 and on eastbound I-94 at 9th Street.
There were no injuries in the triple semi crash that closed the eastbound lanes of I-94 around 3:30 a.m. By 5:20 a.m., the right lane was cleared for traffic.
Other early crashes include a van that ended up on its side on southbound US-131 south of Martin at mile 53 around 5:00 a.m. and an injury crash on 136th Avenue north of Holland between James Street and Riley Street.
