WEST MICHIGAN — For the past six months, FOX 17 collaborated with community organizations – Merpi Media, Hospice of Michigan, Aquinas College, Catholic Information Center – to discuss ways to best produce a television series that will help inspire and teach families how to have ‘The Talk,’ a conversation about planning end-of-life decisions.
The subject is crucial because often times the conversation is not had in time.
Starting Thursday and continuing through the end of February, we will introduce you to three West Michigan families and document their process and experience of having ‘The Talk’ with their loved ones. Each week, viewers will become even more equipped with the knowledge and confidence to begin the process on their own.
The stories will air each Thursday at 10 p.m. and culminate with a 30-minute town hall meeting hosted by FOX 17 news anchor Michele DeSelms. She and a studio audience will question a panel of community experts and religious leaders.
Throughout the month of February, join us on a journey through a difficult, emotional, yet important subject that everyone should see.
