MICHIGAN — The most popular movie set in Michigan is the 2008 Clint Eastwood drama “Gran Torino,” according to a new map published on Reddit this week.
The map, made by user Jakubisko, identifies the most popular movie set in each state as well as Washington D.C. according to their ratings on the Internet Movie Database (IMDB).
Clint Eastwood movies were iconic in other states as well, headlining in Texas (“For a Few Dollars More”), New Mexico (“The Good, the Bad and the Ugly”) and Wyoming (“Unforgiven”).
The only state where the movie is the state name is Nebraska. “Nebraska,” considered a contender at this year’s Oscars, is also the newest movie on the list.
