Klein Tools: Rockford Michigan Facility To Move In 2015

LINCOLNSHIRE, IL. — According to a news release Klein Plastics of Rockford Michigan, which manufactures injection-molded products, and Klein Tools’ manufacturing operations in Lincolnshire, Illinois, which produces screw drivers and nut drivers, will be moved to Mansfield Texas commencing in approximately the second quarter of 2015.

Klein Tools,  for professionals since 1857, announced the expansion of their manufacturing headquarters in Mansfield, Texas to include the production of screwdrivers, nut drivers and injection-molded products in 2015. The center currently manufactures pliers and wire strippers. .

Klein Tools will develop individualized plans for each employee affected by the move and will consider the employee’s interests. Klein Tools’ corporate headquarters will remain in Lincolnshire, IL. “By centralizing facilities at our manufacturing headquarters, Klein can develop business strategies that will produce operational and system efficiencies,” states Russell Winnie executive director of loss prevention. “This move supports our commitment to remain a US-based employer and manufacturer known for high-quality, American-made products.” “For over 157 years, Klein has been committed to manufacturing the majority of our products in the USA,” states Thomas R. Klein Tools will also maintain its offices and facilities in Fort Smith, AR, Lincolnshire, IL, Cedar Rapids, IA, Bolivar, NY and Turn-Key Forging & Design, Inc. operations in Elk Grove Village, IL.
