A West Michigan woman who experienced apartheid in South Africa first-hand while working for the Peace Corps in the ’70s talks about the impact of Nelson Mandela.
Mandela died Thursday at the age of 95. He became the the first black president of his country, was a renowned anti-apartheid activist and a recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.
