Homeowner Takes Intruder’s Gun, Suspect Runs Away

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — An intruder who broke into a Grand Rapids home found himself on the other side of the situation, when he lost his gun to the person who lived there.

The incident happened at around 11:40 p.m. Tuesday on Dorchester Avenue SW.  Police say a man entered someone’s home and fired a gunshot, and after a struggle, the homeowner was able to take the gun.  The suspect ran off, and police were unable to locate him.

There were no injuries.
