ANN ARBOR, Mich- New details have been released about what happened the night Paul Dewolf was killed in the basement of the Phi Rho Sigma house at the University of Michigan.
According to the Detroit Free Press, Paul Dewolf was sleeping when the three men walked into his room. He then lifted his head and asked what was going on. One of the intruders pointed a gun and ordered him not to move. Dewolf then got out of bed and reached for something on his dresser when one of the men with the gun tried to hit Dewolf with the gun but the gun went off striking Dewolf in the neck.
Dewolf died at the scene.
Three arrests have been announced by police Nov. 7. Joei Jordan was charged Nov. 26 and Shaquille Jones on Nov. 22. A third suspect, 21-year-old Dajeon Franklin, is also awaiting charges related to the murder.
Paul Dewolf was second lieutenant in the Air Force and graduated from Grand Valley State University’s pre-med program in 2010.
