WEST MICHIGAN — (FOX 17) — The widespread accumulating snow of Monday has pretty much ended, though there could still be some light snow or freezing drizzle overnight.
However, traveling to Chicago Tuesday night or Wednesday could be problematic, thanks to some heavy lake-effect snow. This image from our in-house computer model, Future Track, shows expected accumulations by Wednesday evening. As you can see, most of West Michigan will be relatively quiet, but parts of Indiana and far Southwest Lower Michigan could see some significant accumulation. There is a lake-effect snow advisory in effect for Berrien County in Southwest Lower Michigan, as well as adjacent counties in Northwest Indiana. Up to a foot of snow is expected.
