Supsect In Armed Robbery Still On The Run

fau110NILES TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The Berrien County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred on November 16.

According to a news release On Saturday November 16, 2013 at approximately 1:26 PM Berrien County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call for an Armed Robbery and Assault that had occurred at the Allied Cash Advanced store in Niles Township off of S. 11th Street.

It was reported that one male entered the store produced a handgun, demanded money, and physically assaulted the employee/victim. The victim was treated and released later that day at Lakeland Hospital in Niles, MI for non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction with cash that was obtained during the robbery. It is unknown whether suspect had an accomplice or was acting alone.

The suspect is described as a Light skinned black male in his mid twenties to early thirties, approx 6’1″ and 210lbs. The suspect had 5 O’Clock shadow, and cracked lips.

The suspect was wearing light gray baggy sweat pants, dark-colored nylon jacket that resembles a jogging coat, black nylon hat with a small bill that was backwards and a square diamond earing in his right ear.

The Berrien County Sheriff’s Department is requesting the assistance of the general pubic to identify this subject.
